Nick Leitz Charges To Sixth Place Finish at Caraway

(Asheboro, N.C.) October 16, 2013 – Nick Leitz started his racing weekend knowing he was going to have to “come from behind” but ended it on Sunday with a strong drive in the NASCAR Limited Late Model feature at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C.

Nick was very pleased with the effort and the result, considering the situation he started with.

“Again we’d been out of the car for a few weeks and we weren’t able to be here for practice and qualifying (Saturday), so we knew we were going to have to start in the back,” Nick said. “But Ed Cox and the team had the car right on the money and we were able to run some laps faster than the leader during the race. We got to fourth and then we had a few cautions with the choose rule and the cone bit us. Sixth is great coming from the back and we learned some things to help us going forward.”

Nick looked ahead to the team’s next race at Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon, S.C. “I’m excited about that race,” He smiled. “That’s a Southeast Limited Late Model Series race and those are always a lot of fun. I enjoy racing different tracks and Dillon is a challenge.”
